Independently owned by local entrepreneur Sean Cummings, this impudent little property is a knowingly fashionable couple of blocks from the French Quarter.
The candlelit lobby encompasses the chic bar, Loa, and there’s something of a friendly Voodoo feel to the proceedings. Brave interior design touches include arresting chandeliers and while the rooms are as chic as other ‘design hotels’ in the city, they are usually much more affordable. A nice touch is that they also give guests drinks tickets on arrival, so have one of the expert bar staff mix you up a fancy cocktail, which you can sip in the candlelight, or have in a go-cup and drink on your way into the French Quarter. |
