The Guardian asked me to put together a list of the nicest places in town to stay - the best New Orleans hotels, guest houses, bed and breakfasts - and since this is a none-too-easy task, I was happy they put a limit of $150 a night on it, and told me to go and look at outlying neighbourhoods, weird and wonderful conversions and even Air BnB options. I was, of course, happy to do it, and in researching the piece, even found some places I'd previously never seen. Now I want to stay at all of them. Hello, my name is Paul and I am a hotel addict. Anyway, the full article is HERE.
While we're on the subject of NOLA, just a reminder that Shandy Pockets have a guidebook out: New Orleans For Free.
And on the subject of Air BnB in NOLA, I thought this article by local publication AntiGravity was well written and pretty thought-provoking.
